Custom Creation ProcessAll of my commissioned pieces are designed and built with direct interaction with customers via phone, email, letter or in person. Sometimes they bring me a photo or drawing they'd like to see built and we discuss options and ideas.
Other customers simply come to me with a problem than needs solving. That's when it really gets fun! We work together to come up with a beautiful solution that is custom designed to work perfectly for their space. Just about anything is possible - wood choices, dimensions, design elements, finishes... Typically there is no cost for estimates and simple design work unless travel is needed or extensive time designing, drawing, etc. If there are costs, they are reasonable and determined in advance. Once an agreement is made, 50-65% of the cost is paid before I begin as a deposit and to pay for materials. The balance is due upon delivery. Larger projects may require another 25% before the project is complete to cover expenses during development. Payment can be made by check or Paypal (credit card). There may be a small convenience fee with Paypal payments depending on the scope of the project. I am happy to deliver pieces in person. If the distance is reasonable and I can move the piece(s) myself, there is no delivery fee. If the distance is greater or I need to employ a helper, there is an additional fee to cover expenses. Items can also be custom crated and shipped anywhere in the country. An estimate is always given in advance so you know all the costs upfront. Please contact me with any questions.
